NZ(A) N2A

NZ (A)…NZ… A?? Is that supposed to be NY NY…A…or…what’s happening??
Hi there Semi-Rhetorical-Non-Existent-Internet-Being,

Thanks for kicking things off again.

You’re so close!!  But also, more accurately, way…way off. It’s actually NZ(A) N2A. An easy mistake to make given my terrible handwriting.

Ok thanks a lot, Semi-Satirical-Evasive-Passive Aggressive-Patronising-Third-Person “Blogger”, thanks for choosing not to answer, again…I’ll get back to Mashable or the Onion or whatever people really read instead.

No wait! Sorry! I promise that we at EuropeZ2A truly value all of our reader.

Let’s break it down for you. And no more patronising. I’ll keep it nice and simple so you can understand.

NZ: This is a common way of referring to the country know as New Zealand.  You see by taking the first letter of each word and placing them beside each other, you get NZ.  In English this is known as an acronym.  I thought we’d been through this before?

A: Similar to before, this stands for Aotearoa, the Maori name for NZ, translated as “the land of the long white cloud”.

N2A: As with some of our previous blogs you haven’t read (despite them being easily accessible in the above menus) we use the number ‘2’ as a tricky replacement for the word ‘to’, this is a play on these two words being what are known as homophones. You might see where we’re headed here?? No. Ok, I give up.

James and Lea are going to New Zealand (Aotearoa). Starting in Napier and heading to Auckland…via a somewhat tortuous path (see map).

Wow, how exciting!! I’ve heard things about NZ. So you guys will be going tramping, skiing, sky diving, bungy bungee jumping, paddling and diving and stuff??

Hahahaha…good one.  But seriously, SRNEIB??? Don’t we know each other by now? I would have thought that based on our previous trips and the fact I had to help ‘you’ look up how to spell ‘bungee’ should have given it away. New Zealand has like 13 wine regions!!! But given we’ll be there for 14 days we won’t get to all of them…just 7.
