FFS

What’s happening now??

After a long break at work, James and Lea have read the tide of global sentiment and anticipated that the next month will see the Aussie dollar at an all time low…again…so we’re off to Europe…again!!

FFS, again? But, dare I ask, WTF is FFS supposed to be??

Glad you asked. We’ll be flying to Frankfurt, farting through Franconia, frolicking through France and fleeing from Switzerland!  So instead of fFfFfFffS we’ve gone with FFSSo I guess FFS is kind of fFfFfFffS for short…or fFfFfFffS-fs.

Anyway, we thought it would be less contentious than James and Lea’s F’ing holiday. or F’ing around Europe. Also, the acronym for Germany, Alsace and Switzerland is not the best to be using in that part of the world.  (Franconia is in Germany, for those who weren’t aware…read: everyone.) And Europe F2Z: Frankfurt to Zurich seems a bit lazy.

So follow us (if you can be F’d) as we see Europe from Franconia to France to Switzerland!

  • The Reich Stuff September 4, 2019 - We began our first week of the holiday in the amazing country of Germany and were so excited that we didn‘t ‘need‘ to see anything, thus only visited a few select towns: Bingen, Bernkastel-Kues, Traben-Trabach, Kröv, Cochem, Beilstein, Burg Eltz, Boppard, Oberwesel, Sankt Goar, Bacharach, Dinkelsbuhl, Rothenburg, Nuremburg and Wurzburg! Our first stop in Bingen … Continue reading The Reich Stuff
  • Dutch courage September 7, 2019 - After a week of wining and Rhining we headed to the Netherlands to be exposed to, but not partake in, some slightly stronger legal drugs (seriously not sure if the diplomats roaming the streets or the crockery coming out of Delft are more baked around here) and spend time with some very good friends who … Continue reading Dutch courage
  • The great Alsatian route September 14, 2019 - We went for the straight up, no nonsense blog title this time. Thinking about the Alsatian route we travelled along of course had Lea (or someone) suggesting things like, “Doggy Style“, which is where James drew the line. We want to keep this one above board and don‘t want people distracted by thinking about the … Continue reading The great Alsatian route
  • Let’s be franc September 21, 2019 - …Switzerland is expensive. But it’s refreshing to get a reminder of the good old days before the Euro where countries had to use their currencies to describe an important facet of their personalities. eg.the Swiss Franc (for their bluntness), the Dutch guilder (for their love of unions), the Estonian kroon (for their well known performance … Continue reading Let’s be franc
